2015 Bay Area Beatdown

Welcome to the 2015 Bay Area Beatdown

This year, the Bay Area Beatdown will be a two-day CrossFit competition at our affiliate on October 23-24, 2015. All athletes are urged to complete the floater workouts on Friday evening (between 4pm and 9pm EST). The main competition for all athletes will be on Saturday between 9am and approximately 5pm.  The schedule for both days is: 
  • Athlete registration is Friday (4pm-9pm), or Saturday (730am-830am) for those who absolutely cannot make it Friday evening.
  • Floater workouts will be on Friday between 4pm and 9pm (demo on-site)
  • Demonstration of workout #1 on Saturday begins at 8:30am
  • Workout #1 on Saturday begins at 9:00am
  • Demonstration of workout #2 on Saturday begins at 11:05am
  • Demonstration of workout #1 on Saturday begins at 1:00pm
  • All Floater events must be completed, and scores submitted NLT 2:00pm Saturday

Athletes will be competing in 6 different divisions - Scaled, Kids 8-10, Kids 11-13, Teens 14-16, Masters (ages 40+), and Rx.  This event will consist of multiple workouts that will test the athletes’ overall strength, power, speed, endurance, balance, and coordination.  Athletes must have a basic understanding of CrossFit, gymnastics, and Olympic lifting.  All workouts have been released, and are located in the 'WODs & Video Standards' section of this website.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 athletes in each division. 

We welcome every CrossFit athlete, bodybuilder, tri-athlete, and fitness enthusiast in the area to compete and test your overall fitness ability against other local athletes.  Bring your family and friends to support your efforts, and enjoy the festivities.   Vendors will be on-site to offer food, drinks, clothing and more.  An area will also be available for athletes to set up canopies/tents.
